Steel fury kharkov sight control7/17/2023 Unofficial temporary patch v0.1, 1st December 2008 (thx woofiedog) Graviteam's list of reviews (many in Kyrillic, note that the early ones are written on the basis of the Russian release of the game, which is not completely identical to the western release, thus they are not explicitly listed in the SF resources, since we focus on the Western release here):įall Blau - the project is finished in August, 2008. F2.)ģ0+ missions in 3 campaigns, mission editor, night battles, varying weather. As you can see from the after-action display, every hit is tracked, including the angle of the hit.Note that the Western publisher Lighthouse has declared bankruptcy in Spring 2009, and no longer exists. The loader also has one, and you can take pot-shots with a pistol if all else failsħ. The other one seems to be the side view-port. The '6' command toggles all hatches open or shut,Ħ. The gunner's field-of-view is slightly lower, so it might be blocked by terrain or foliage.ĥ. There're little red spots above the assigned targets which the gunner can actually see. The 'do as I do' command might be useful.Ĥ. Or you could guesstimate how much to raise or lower the gun by observing the shell-fall.ģ. The '+' and '-' numpad keys help to increase / decrease the range on the Panzer IV, at least. Or you could be running into an AT-obstacle zone which the AI doesn't like. I also find that there's a delay after the 'turn to facing' command, where the driver AI switches off for a few seconds. A couple of possibilities: If you leave on the AI 'auto-gunner' option, there will be a slight pause to aim and shoot whenever there's a suitable target. modeled? Do I need to be taking this into account and trying to aim for the ammo, etc.?ġ. What's the use of that?ħ) How accurately is armor deflection etc. One seems to be the main gun (the periscope), the other is the coax MG (I guess, not sure), but what's the other? It seems to always be jutting off to the left side but you can't move it unlike the periscope. Am I supposed to be dragging a box around each individual enemy soldier/tank/gun I see or clicking on all of them or what? Also does the hull MG not fire until I spot something for him? What about the other tanks in your platoon? I wonder about this because I pretty much always have like 4 times more kills than the other tanks in my platoon.ĥ) Is there any way to order my crewmen or the other tanks' crewmen to stay buttoned?Ħ) In the T-34 there seems to be three "sights" for the gunner/commander. What on earth could be causing that? Do I need a patch or something? Or is there some command or something I might be issuing accidentally that makes the driver ignore both the movement commands and the movement order you can issue on the F8 map.Ģ) Can someone explain the aiming system/gun sights for the T-34 and Panzer IV? The manual is insanely hard to understand with the broken English and all.ģ) Is there any way to stop the other tanks in my platoon from moving about on their own out of formation when we initiate contact? A lot of times I LIKE that they're doing that (for example they spot an AT gun or something and move into a good firing position to dispatch it quickly before I even know it's there) but sometimes I want them to stay right with me.Ĥ) How exactly do you spot targets? I know you're supposed to use the icon that comes up after you press "F" but it seems very hit and miss to me. Sometimes they will still respond to "turn right" or "turn left" and spin in the appropriate direction while staying in the same spot but soemtimes they won't even do that. I do have a few nagging questions though.ġ) I keep getting these weird situations where occasionally mid way through the mission my driver will simply refuse to move forward anymore at all. Makes me feel like I'm in a scene from "The Forgotten Soldier" or something.Īnyways I'm going to get some mods eventually they look fantastic, first I'm just gonna go ahead and finish the stock game though. So I just got this and I am loving it! I'm not normally hardcore into tanks but this is simply one of the best WW2 games I've ever played.
